He loved entertaining in his backyard on the patio he designed and built himself.Ī genuine thank you to all of the health care professionals, doctors and surgeons who have cared for him through the past two decades. Tom was an avid gardener he took great pride in his shade garden and lush grass. When Tom was at home, he was always in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for his family and teaching culinary skills along the way. He loved camping in his RV, playing rounds of golf and trying the best local ice cream and pizza everywhere he traveled. Tom loved traveling, and he proudly made it to 49 of the 50 states. Tom managed to turn everything he did into a game, he had a competitive nature that shined through in all of his many life endeavors. Not only did he have a love for playing, but he also enjoyed teaching his daughters and grandchildren how to golf. Tom was always a truly talented golfer, playing in the Diamond Grille Golf League at Goodpark Golf Course and competing in amateur tournaments. He continued his involvement in baseball as an umpire for WABL, as well as attending games and supporting his children's athletic interests. He was a celebrated athlete whose youthful accomplishments included competing in the Little League World Series against Puerto Rico and starting as full back for the Fighting Irish football team all four years. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Patricia (Gallagher) Buschko, sister Karen (Buschko) Powers, and son Brian Buschko.īorn and raised in Akron, Tom was a Graduate of St. ![]() His brother Stephen Buschko sisters Carol Sweitzer and Jane Buschko. Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patty Buschko his three daughters Michelle Dangerfield (Matt), Marcie James (Aaron), Megan Buschko his beloved grandchildren Cadence, Cora, Logan and Leah Dangerfield, Audrey and Owen James. Thomas Buschko, 61, of Akron, passed peacefully at home on January 31, 2023.
